Hard Work Is The Key To Excellence

Hardwork Is The Key To Excellence

Hard work is the key to excellence. Hard work pay-off. These sagacious phrases sound no more than a crammed lesson to many of us. As one grows up; one listens to these aforesaid lines. In the physical world agony, torment, distress, sufferings; all have sent mankind to the state of ecstatic paroxysm rendering human desires irrational or gushing fools. Such is the Interpretation of hard work to negate it as an unhelpful quality.

What is hard work? Hard work is doing more than expected, continuing while others are quiet, and accepting the failure as a temporary situation. Hard work is your courage to confront the odds of life with braveness, courage, and endurance. So far excellence is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good. Hard work teaches us discipline, dedication, and determination.

The importance of hard work can be ascertained from this Hadith as well. It says:

“By him in whose hand is my soul, if one of you were to carry a bundle of firewood on his back and sell it, that would be better for him than begging a man who may or may not give him anything.” (Sahih Bukhari 1401)

Jack Busch’s (writer) exposition of hard work defines it as a thing of emotions rather than physical. “Hard work isn’t physical–it’s emotional.” Hard work requires motivation. What exactly motivation is? It is the ability or longevity to work hard in the face of obstacles, boredom, fatigue, stress. Motivation varies from person to person. Each person has a different motivation that drives him toward success.

Motivation for hard work can either be internal or external. Your passion, challenges, desires are internal factors for motivation. As far as external factors for motivation are concerned, these circumspect financial rewards, sense of security, professional recognition, or otherwise appreciation. Even your jealousy can be your instinct for motivation. In the words of J.K. Rowling, we’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on.

Let’s move on to the examples of marvelous personalities who transformed the world and influenced millions by the dint of their hard work and perseverance.

The successful struggle of Steven Jobs is here to mention first. It is impervious to summarized Job’s endeavors in any single piece of writing. Even a cursory overview of his hard work would enable one to understand the multiple genius of the late Steve Jobs. Born in San Francisco, California, and put up for adoption, Jobs was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He went to Reed College only to get dropped in the year of his admission from the college.

He studied Zen Buddhism that later on transformed into his inspiration for works. Jobs co-founded Apple in 1976 with Wozniak. Both of them gained fame and wealth a year later with the Apple II (one of the first highly successful microcomputers).

Thanks to the multiplicity of Job’s interests that he saw the commercial potential of the Xerox Alto (mouse-driven musical instrumentation having a graphical user interface) in 1979.

He helped Apple revive at the time when it was on the verge of bankruptcy. The nature of his work was mainly concerned with marketing ideas. He developed a line of products that had larger cultural ramifications leading to the inventions like iMac, iTunes, iTunes Store, Apple Store, iPod, iPhone, App Store, and the iPad. Steve Jobs was best known as the CEO and co-founder of Apple Inc. He passed away on October 5, 2011, from complications of pancreatic cancer.

Jobs, indeed, revolutionized modern culture and changed the world’s relationship to technology through inventions such as the iPad and iPhone. In brief, Jobs altered the rhythm of modern life. Jobs was even credited with raising the standard for animated films by bringing his vision to Pixar, a movie studio he founded while exiled for a time from Apple.

Another such inspiration is the world-famous writer whose accomplishments have earned her life-long fame and worldwide recognition. Yes! the name is J.K. Rowling. She believes:

“We do not need magic to change the world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already. We have the power to imagine better.”

Her world famous Harry Potter series is not merely a story about three friends who run after magical adventurism.

Instead, it tells us that it is our choices that show what we truly are. It is a story filled with various life lessons. It tells that there is always a way back from a mistake to redeem oneself.

The seven books of Harry Potter show that even the wisest of people have committed some inauspicious errors and that even the darkest people can have a caring heart. These books have given their readers a sense of conscience and unity of purpose.

To conclude, hard work is that abstract feature of mankind that molds the character really well and helps humankind to make this world a better place to live.

Of course, no one can better summarize the importance of hard work than the legendary writer, journalist, and one of the leading characters in the history of Pakistan the late Maulana Zafar Ali Khan. He uttered these words to realize the nation the worth of working hard.
